This Kondor Blue kit brings a Canon C80 cage and a Gold Mount battery plate together in one camera accessory. It suits C80 owners building a more developed setup for tripod-based production, interviews or other work where the camera needs to sit within a larger rig. The cage gives the setup a frame to build around, while the Gold Mount plate is intended for a Gold Mount battery workflow. Its space grey finish gives the kit a coordinated look without making colour the main reason to choose it. This is a focused piece of rigging equipment, rather than a general-purpose tripod add-on: its appeal is the combination of a C80 cage and battery plate in one kit.

A focused starting point for a rig

Think of this kit as the camera-side foundation for a built-up C80 setup. You can plan the rig around the cage and its Gold Mount plate instead of treating those as unrelated pieces of equipment. That’s a practical approach for a production setup you assemble to suit a particular job. The product is listed as a tripod accessory, but its defining purpose is the cage-and-battery-plate combination.

Specialist Note

“Is this made specifically around the Canon C80?” Yes: the C80 is named right in the cage kit, so it’s a much more considered starting point than a generic frame. I’d look at it if you’re building a tripod-based interview rig or putting together a location setup that uses Gold Mount batteries; the plate makes that battery standard part of the plan. The space grey finish keeps the kit visually restrained alongside the camera. One thing to bear in mind is that a cage and battery plate add rigging hardware, so this is for a built-up setup, not the simplest bare-camera arrangement.

Technical Specifications

Product type: Tripod accessory

Camera named in product: Canon C80

Included design elements: Cage and Gold Mount battery plate

Colour: Space grey

https://www.htf-store.com/fr/products/kondor-blue-kb-cc80-gmp-canon-c80-cage-gold-mount-battery-plate-kit-space-grey
