The PocketWizard Flex TT6 Canon is a flash trigger transmitter for photographers who want to fire off-camera flashes and choose where the light falls. Its job is to trigger the flash, leaving you to work on the lighting position and the look of the image. That makes it suited to portrait photographers shaping light around a face, and to product photographers who want form and texture to read clearly. It’s a practical part of a Canon setup when off-camera flash is part of your plan. Keep in mind that this is a transmitter, not a flash: it triggers your lighting, but doesn’t produce light by itself.

Specialist Note

People new to off-camera flash sometimes expect the trigger itself to create or soften the light. The Flex TT6 is the link that fires the flash, so the position and direction of the light stay in your hands. For portraits, place the flash away from the camera to shape the light across a face; for product shots, angle it to bring out the object’s form. This transmitter is for Canon photographers building that kind of setup. One practical point: it triggers an off-camera flash, it doesn’t replace one, so you’ll need a flash to work with it.

Technical Specifications

Product kind: Flash trigger / transmitter

Camera system: Canon

Typical use: Firing off-camera flashes for portraits and product shots
