That makes it relevant to videographers who already use that setup and want a tray specified for this filter format, rather than a general camera-support product. The supplier categorises it as shoulder-rig gear, with handheld video work where the camera needs extra support as its typical context; the tray’s named role is to accommodate 4×5.65 filters for the MB-T12. It’s a straightforward match when those two details describe your setup. If you’re putting together a handheld video rig, this is the part to consider for the filter-tray role, while the MB-T12 remains the reference point for compatibility. Its appeal is focused: a clearly identified filter size and a clearly identified rig. There’s no reason to treat it as a universal tray.

Specialist Note

The Tilta MB-T12-A is best at providing a 4×5.65 filter tray for an MB-T12 setup. I’d treat the filter format as the first check: it tells you which filters this tray is intended for, so it’s a precise fit in your planning rather than a catch-all option. The MB-T12 name matters just as much; this is the tray for that setup. For handheld interview work or handheld video where the camera needs extra support, it has a defined place in the rig: the filter tray. My honest advice is to keep expectations narrow—it’s a format- and model-specific part, not a shoulder rig on its own.

Technical Specifications

Product kind: Shoulder rig

Filter format: 4×5.65

For: MB-T12
