This lens is best suited to controlled video and filmmaking setups where someone can take responsibility for focus and camera operation. It’s a focused tool for moving-image work, rather than a lens designed around still photography.

Specialist Note

Framing changes are straightforward with a zoom: you can move from 25mm to 75mm without changing lenses, which keeps your setup focused on the scene rather than a lens swap. For a dialogue setup, use the longer end for a tighter composition; for a wider view of the same setting, zoom back toward 25mm and reframe.
