Godox FL100 Flexible LED Light

Godox FL100 Flexible LED Light | Shapeable light for studio and location

Rigid panels can be awkward when a scene calls for light in a less familiar shape. The Godox FL100 Flexible LED Light is a 40 x 60 cm flexible LED mat that you can shape to suit the space, rather than working around a fixed panel. It’s a useful format for interview setups, film and video production, still-life photography and portrait work, where a broad, adjustable source can be more adaptable than a rigid light. The FL100 switches between 3300K and 5600K, covering warm tungsten-style light through to daylight, so you can match the colour temperature to the look of a scene. Brightness is adjustable from 10% to 100%, giving you control over the output as the setup changes. Godox also includes an X-mount holder with a light-stand mount, and the mat can run from the supplied AC adapter or a separate V-mount battery. At 3.45 kg, it’s portable, though it’s worth accounting for the weight when packing for a location shoot. The combination of a flexible panel and two power options makes the FL100 a distinct alternative to a conventional rigid LED fixture.

Flexible LED Highlights

• Flexible 40 x 60 cm mat: The panel can be shaped rather than kept as a flat, rigid rectangle. That gives you more freedom to fit the light into a compact or unusual shooting space.
• Variable colour temperature: Select a setting from 3300K to 5600K. This spans warm tungsten-style light and daylight, a useful range for matching the intended feel of an interview, portrait or video scene.
• Adjustable brightness: Output can be dimmed from 10% to full power. You can set a lower level for a restrained look or raise it when the scene calls for more light.
• 4300 lux at one metre: The stated photometric output gives you a concrete reference when planning where the light will sit in a setup.
• X-mount holder with stand mount: The holder provides a light-stand mounting point for positioning the flexible panel as part of a studio or location lighting setup.
• Two power options: Use the supplied AC adapter for mains power, or power the FL100 with a separate V-mount battery when working away from a mains connection.

Good to know

The FL100’s listed power options cover both mains-powered setups and location work: the AC adapter is supplied, while a V-mount lithium-ion battery is a separate purchase. The flexible mat format and its 3.45 kg weight are worth considering together when planning what to pack for a shoot. A wireless remote control and a carrying bag are also included.
