VIJIM VL196 RGB Premium Multi Color LED Video Lamp Metal

VIJIM VL196 RGB Premium Multi Color LED Video Lamp Metal | Add colour to your video scene

For adding a coloured accent to a video scene, the VIJIM VL196 RGB Premium Multi Color LED Video Lamp Metal is a compact-style lighting option in the loose-lamp category. It’s an RGB multicolour LED video lamp, with a metal build. That combination makes it relevant to video makers who want colour to play a visible part in the image, rather than relying on white light alone. A wash of colour can help separate a subject from a plain background or give a simple shot a more deliberate mood. You can also use coloured light as a small detail within a larger lighting setup. The useful part here is the focus on colour; the honest caveat is that coloured light can quickly become distracting if it takes over the frame. Keep it subtle when the subject needs to remain the main focus.

Making colour work on camera

Think about the job you want the colour to do before setting up your shot. A restrained accent can add depth to a background, while a stronger patch of colour will draw the viewer’s eye. For a talking-head video, try keeping the person’s face visually clear and letting colour support the space around them. In a product shot, colour can help set a mood, but it shouldn’t obscure the item you’re filming. These are general lighting choices, not fixed rules: the right balance depends on the scene and the look you’re after.

The metal construction gives the lamp a more solid material identity than a purely unspecified housing, but the product name doesn’t tell us how it’s powered or attached. So it’s best to judge it here for what the title does establish: a metal RGB LED lamp made for video, with multicolour light as its defining purpose. If you’re planning a setup, start with the scene and the colour you want in it, then decide how that light should sit alongside the rest of your image. That keeps the lamp’s role clear and the shot intentional.
