SmallRig 5466 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Silicone Handle For Nikon ZR
SmallRig 5466 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Silicone Handle For Nikon ZR | Extra support for handheld video
Its L-shaped mount plate and silicone handle give the Nikon ZR a dedicated grip for handheld video work. The SmallRig 5466 is a shoulder rig for people who want extra support while filming with the camera in their hands. The plate forms the camera-supporting part of the setup, while the handle gives you a clear place to hold it. That makes it a practical option for short interviews, walk-and-talk clips, or recording a scene where you need to shift your position as you film. It’s focused on supporting handheld use, rather than replacing your own camera handling. If you shoot video with a Nikon ZR and want a more purposeful way to hold the camera, this plate-and-handle arrangement is what to consider.
Specialist Note
5466 is the model number; in practice, it identifies this particular L-shaped plate-and-handle support for the Nikon ZR. For handheld clips, I’d use the silicone handle as your main grip, rather than holding around the plate. It gives your hand a clear contact point while the plate supports the camera. This suits someone filming short interviews or changing their framing during a video. One point to keep in mind: extra support isn’t automatic stabilisation, so your handling still affects camera movement. I’d keep the setup simple and use the handle as the steady place to hold the rig.
