Godox AD21 01 Single Diffusion Panel (60x45cm)

Godox AD21 01 Single Diffusion Panel (60x45cm) | A compact surface for softer light

When direct light looks too hard on a subject, a diffusion panel can soften its effect. The Godox AD21 01 is a single diffusion panel measuring 60 × 45 cm, giving you a defined area to work with when shaping light. It suits photographers who want to adjust the look of their lighting rather than simply accept a bare, direct result. The size makes it a compact option for controlled setups, though it’s still important to consider how much of your subject or scene you want the panel to cover. Its purpose is straightforward: diffuse light. There’s no need to read more into the name than that. If you’re choosing between panels, the useful starting point is the stated size and whether that area suits the way you plan to work.

Working with diffusion

Diffusion changes the character of light by spreading it across a surface before it reaches the subject. The visible effect depends on the light and the scene, so a panel shouldn’t be treated as a fixed recipe for a particular look. Moving or repositioning a diffusion surface can change how it affects the light; the result is something to judge in the frame, not assume from the product name alone.

This single panel is a simple option when a larger setup would be unnecessary or awkward. Its 60 × 45 cm dimensions give you a concrete point of comparison when planning a lighting arrangement or deciding how much area you need to diffuse. It’s also worth keeping expectations practical: the panel’s stated size is the firm detail here, while the final effect depends on how you use diffusion in your scene. If you’re after a specific coverage or lighting arrangement, think through that setup before choosing a panel.
