Sirui Ironstar T1.9 1.5X Anamorphic FullFrame Cine Lenses 60mm (Neutral Flare) | Full-frame widescreen filmmaking

For narrative video that calls for a widescreen, cinematic frame, the Sirui Ironstar T1.9 1.5X Anamorphic 60mm gives filmmakers a dedicated full-frame lens for shaping that look. Its 1.5X anamorphic design brings a different image character to scenes than a conventional standard lens, while the 60mm focal length suits considered framing of dialogue, portraits and details. This is an interchangeable cine lens for filmmakers who want to make deliberate choices about composition and focus, rather than rely on autofocus. The Neutral Flare version is the option named here; it keeps the product’s flare variant clear when you’re choosing within the Ironstar range. For video work, its appeal is the combination of a full-frame format and an anamorphic image in one 60mm lens. It’s best suited to planned filmmaking, where you can take time over framing and focus.

Specialist Note

Missed focus is hard to hide in a carefully framed scene, so this lens makes most sense when you can work deliberately rather than chase fast, unpredictable action. Its manual focus gives you direct control for a measured dialogue shot or a planned focus change between a subject and the background. The T1.9 maximum aperture is useful when you want to keep exposure workable in lower light, and it gives you room to separate a subject from the setting. With an estimated 40° angle of view, I’d think in terms of composed, purposeful shots rather than expansive establishing views. It suits filmmakers who value that control and can build time for focus into the setup.
