TTArtisan AF 56mm f/1.8 X-Mount APS-C Black | A portrait prime with autofocus

At a family gathering, a portrait lens can help you frame someone clearly while keeping a little distance. The TTArtisan AF 56mm f/1.8 is an interchangeable standard prime made for Fujifilm X cameras with APS-C sensors. Its 56mm focal length and portrait-friendly view suit head-and-shoulders photographs, individual portraits and candid moments where you want your subject to be the focus. Autofocus helps you keep your attention on the person in front of the camera rather than turning a focus ring. This is a focused option for Fujifilm X photographers who want a dedicated portrait lens, rather than relying on a wider view and cropping later. It’s also a straightforward fit in a kit built around APS-C Fujifilm X bodies.

Specialist Note

For portraits, the TTArtisan AF 56mm f/1.8 gives you a tighter framing without depending on a wide shot and a later crop. On Fujifilm X bodies, its field of view is comparable to an 84mm lens on full frame, which works well for head-and-shoulders portraits. I’d open the aperture to f/1.8 when you want your subject to draw the eye, and use autofocus to keep the focus on them as they move slightly. It suits portrait-led photographers and makes sense for family portraits or a simple headshot. One thing to bear in mind: that tighter view needs more room for full-length portraits indoors.
