Godox AS 01 Auto Sensor For Lux Master Flash

Godox AS 01 Auto Sensor For Lux Master Flash | Trigger off-camera flash with ease

Get your flash off the camera and use it to shape portraits or product shots. The Godox AS 01 is a flash trigger and transmitter, made for firing off-camera flashes; its title identifies it as an auto sensor for Lux Master Flash. That makes it relevant if you’re building a lighting setup around that flash and want a dedicated trigger in the mix. For a portrait, off-camera flash can help you direct light onto your subject; for a product photo, it gives you a way to work with flash positioned away from the camera. The AS 01 is a focused piece of kit rather than a general-purpose lighting accessory. It suits photographers who already have an off-camera flash use in mind and want a trigger for that setup. Its best fit is straightforward: portraits and product work where firing the flash away from the camera is part of the plan.

Planning your setup

Think about the picture you want before placing the flash. For a portrait, decide where you want the light to fall on the person; for a product shot, consider which part of the object should be lit. Then use the AS 01 as the trigger for the off-camera flash. That keeps the purpose of this accessory clear: it’s there to fire the flash, not to replace the flash or add another light source. The product name ties it to Lux Master Flash, so it makes most sense in a setup built around that flash.
