The Fotopro Spare Part DV-2 Foot Tube Locking Knob is a tripod accessory intended for that specific locking point. It suits a DV-2 owner whose foot tube locking knob needs replacing, rather than someone looking to add a new function to a tripod. Its purpose is simple: put the control for securing the foot tube back where it belongs. That matters when you’re adjusting a leg to compose a low-angle shot or setting the tripod up for a steady frame. This is a small replacement part, not a complete tripod component, so it makes sense when the knob itself is the part that needs attention. If the leg tube or another part is the problem, a knob alone won’t address it.

Specialist Note

For restoring the DV-2 foot-tube lock, this dedicated knob is a better fix than trying to work around a missing locking control. The DV-2 designation points to the tripod model this part is for, so it’s a specific replacement rather than a general-purpose tripod knob. And because it’s the foot tube locking knob, its job is to secure that tube once you’ve set the leg position. I’d consider it for a DV-2 owner replacing a lost or faulty knob: set the leg for your framing, then use the knob to lock the tube before taking the shot. It’s a focused repair part; it won’t solve damage to the tube itself.

Technical Specifications

Brand: Fotopro

Part designation: DV-2

Product type: Tripod accessory

Component: Foot tube locking knob

Category: Tripods > Tripod Accessory
