The Ilford Dev Tray is made for that role, and its 16x20-inch size gives you a clear dimension to plan around before you arrange your workspace. It’s white, with a straightforward appearance that suits a practical darkroom setup. For photographers who process their own work, the appeal is simple: this is a tray identified for development, in a stated size, without extra features to weigh up. The honest point is that the size matters more than any claim about convenience; you’ll want the footprint to fit the way you work. If you’re organising a darkroom or replacing a tray, this Ilford gives you those essential details at a glance.

Think about the space where you’ll use it, and where it can be put away when the session is over. A tray needs a stable, level place to sit, and room around it can make handling your work easier. That’s general darkroom planning rather than a special feature of this model, but it’s worth doing before you choose a size. The dimensions are also helpful when you’re arranging a work surface alongside the other items in your darkroom; measure the available area rather than relying on an estimate. If you already have a particular process or layout in mind, consider how this tray will fit into that routine. There’s no complicated pitch here: it’s a white Ilford development tray, and the main decision is whether its footprint suits your workspace.

Technical Specifications

Product type: Development tray

Size: 16x20 inches

Colour: White
