The K&F Concept ND8 Nano X is a grey neutral-density filter that reduces the light reaching your camera by three stops. That gives you room to use a slower shutter speed without changing the scene’s lighting. It suits photographers who want to experiment with motion in daylight or keep a chosen aperture when the available light would otherwise call for a faster exposure. The 77mm size is for a lens with a matching 77mm filter thread. ND8 is the density marking; three stops means the filter lets through one eighth of the light. It’s a specific, straightforward tool for gaining that extra exposure control, rather than a filter for changing the look of colour or contrast.

Specialist Note

When daylight forces your shutter speed higher than you want, this filter gives you a measured three-stop reduction instead of making you abandon the slower exposure. I’d suggest it to someone working with a 77mm-thread lens who wants to soften moving water or show a little motion in passing clouds. For example, if your meter calls for 1/125 sec without the filter, you can start around 1/15 sec with it, keeping aperture and ISO the same, then adjust for the scene. Its grey ND8 designation tells you exactly the strength you’re adding. One practical limit: three stops won’t turn every bright midday scene into a very long exposure, so it’s best when a moderate shutter-speed change is enough.

Technical Specifications

Brand: K&F Concept

Series: Nano X

Filter type: ND grey filter

Density: ND8

Light reduction: 3 stops

Filter diameter: 77mm
