The Tilta ES-T21-B-V is named for the Pyxis 6K Pro, and this version is the V Mount kit. That makes it relevant to owners planning a rig around this particular camera and V Mount configuration, rather than looking for a general cage for different systems. It’s best considered as part of the rig plan: choose it when you want the cage and camera to be a defined starting point for your setup. For interview work, studio production or other planned video shoots, that camera-specific focus can help keep decisions about the rest of the rig straightforward. The title identifies the intended camera and kit version; it doesn’t give a material, weight or individual mounting details, so I’d avoid choosing it on assumptions about those.

Specialist Note

The V Mount designation is the practical detail I’d start with: it tells you to plan this as the V Mount version of the Pyxis 6K Pro cage kit, not simply as an unspecified cage. Since it’s made for the Blackmagic Pyxis 6K Pro, it suits someone building a rig around that exact camera; for an interview setup, I’d make the cage the starting point and plan the rest of the build around your chosen V Mount arrangement. It also makes sense for a studio rig where the Pyxis is staying in one camera configuration. My honest advice is to choose it for that specific camera and kit version, rather than expecting a general-fit cage.

Technical Specifications

Product type: Camera cage

Compatible camera: Blackmagic Pyxis 6K Pro

Kit designation: V Mount

https://www.htf-store.com/it/products/tilta-es-t21-b-v-camera-cage-for-blackmagic-pyxis-6k-pro-kit-v-mount
