The Freewell Osmo Pocket 3 Variable ND 1-5 Stop 6-9 Stop Filters are a two-pack made for the Osmo Pocket 3, with two variable-density ranges for adjusting how much light reaches the camera. That makes them useful when you’re filming outdoors and the light changes, or when a fixed exposure would otherwise leave your footage too bright. You can choose the range that suits the scene, then adjust the filter within that range rather than relying on a single density. They’re aimed at Pocket 3 owners who want more control over exposure in daylight video, without changing the camera they’re using. The two ranges give you room to adapt, from less intense light reduction to a stronger cut for brighter conditions.

Specialist Note

Harsh daylight can push your Pocket 3 footage brighter than you want, even when the scene looks right to your eye. I like that this set covers two different levels of light reduction: the 1–5 stop range gives you finer adjustment when conditions are bright but manageable, while 6–9 stops is there for stronger light. For a walk filmed in midday sun, I’d start with the lower range and adjust until exposure looks right; save the higher range for especially bright scenes. It suits Pocket 3 owners who want to make exposure decisions while filming. The stronger range may be more than you need on an overcast day.

Technical Specifications

Compatible camera: Osmo Pocket 3

Variable ND range: 1–5 stops

Variable ND range: 6–9 stops

Pack: 2 filters

https://www.htf-store.com/nl/products/freewell-osmo-pocket-3-variable-nd-1-5-stop-6-9-stop-filters-2pack
