It’s a specialist tripod accessory for photographers and filmmakers working with the Canon R5/R6/R camera line who want an Arca-based setup as part of their rig. The useful distinction is that the product combines a rig identity with a named base standard, so it suits someone choosing a specific foundation for a tripod workflow—not someone shopping for a standalone camera support. Its Raven Black finish gives the product a dark appearance within a camera setup. If your kit is built around an Arca-based connection, this is the detail to focus on when deciding if it belongs in your setup. The product name identifies it as the MkII version, and as a camera-specific accessory it’s aimed at a defined system rather than general-purpose tripod use.

Specialist Note

New rig owners sometimes expect the base itself to be the whole support solution; this one is a tripod accessory, so think of it as a component in your setup. The Arca base is the key detail: it gives this rig its named place in an Arca-based tripod workflow. I’d consider it for a Canon R5/R6/R setup when you want the camera arranged around this kind of base, for example when moving between a rigged camera and tripod use. The MkII name is useful when comparing versions of this specific rig. One practical limit: it isn’t a tripod, so you’ll still need your tripod support separately.

Technical Specifications

Product kind: Tripod accessory

Manufacturer: Kondor Blue

Product designation: Canon R5 Arca Basis Rig MkII R5/R6/R

Colour: Raven Black

https://www.htf-store.com/nl/products/kondor-blue-kb-canon-br-bk-canon-r5-arca-basis-rig-mkii-r5-r6-r-raven-black
