The hard stops give a focus pull clear end points, which is useful when you want to move between planned focus positions rather than turn the focus ring by eye each time. It’s a tripod accessory for filmmakers who want more deliberate focus control in a setup built around a follow focus. That can help with a repeated move, such as shifting attention from a person to an object, or keeping a subject’s focus position consistent across takes. The MF15C is best suited to straightforward, controlled pulls where having defined limits matters more than adding extra functions. If you’re refining a camera rig for careful manual focus work, this is a focused tool for that job; the product information gives no basis for claiming a particular camera or lens fit.

Specialist Note

During a focus pull, the hard stops give you a clear point to work toward, so you can concentrate on making the move instead of watching for the focus ring’s end. I’d use the mini follow focus for a simple, planned shift—say, from a foreground object to a person—and decide on those two focus positions before rolling. “Mini” is the key practical clue: this is presented as a compact follow-focus option, not a feature-heavy control system. The hard stops are the useful detail when you want to keep a move bounded and repeatable. The MF15C model reference is worth noting when you’re matching the accessory to your rig plan. It’s a focused choice, so don’t expect extra functions beyond what the name describes.

Technical Specifications

Product type: Mini follow focus with hard stops

Product kind: Tripod accessory

Model: MF15C
