The OM SYSTEM LR-2 is a rear lens cap for MFT lenses, for that simple in-between moment: after removing a lens, fit the cap before packing it away or setting it aside. It helps keep the exposed rear of the lens free from everyday dust and contact with other items in a camera bag. This accessory has a specific job; it isn’t a filter that changes the light reaching the sensor. It suits MFT users who swap lenses, carry a spare, or want the rear of a lens covered during storage. If a cap has gone missing, or you’d like one ready for a lens that’s usually kept separately, the LR-2 is a straightforward way to cover that exposed end. Keep it with the lens so it’s close at hand when you take the lens off.

Specialist Note

The OM SYSTEM LR-2 is a rear cap for keeping an MFT lens covered when it’s off the camera. The MFT designation matters: this is for an MFT lens, not a universal cover to use across different systems. I’d fit it as soon as I remove a lens, especially before putting a spare into a camera bag; that keeps the rear end covered while the lens is being carried or stored. Its job is protection between uses, so it won’t affect the image or replace a filter. For an MFT kit where lenses get swapped or stored separately, it’s a simple part to keep alongside the lenses.

Technical Specifications

Brand: OM SYSTEM

Model: LR-2

Type: Rear lens cap

System: MFT
