When a scene needs a widescreen feel but one focal length won’t cover every shot, this Sirui set gives you two options: 50mm and 75mm. It’s an interchangeable lens kit with a 1.6x anamorphic design, in a Fuji X mount and specified for full-frame format. That makes it a specialist option for filmmakers building a considered look across dialogue, portraits and detail shots, rather than a general-purpose lens set. The 1.6x squeeze is there to capture a wider horizontal view relative to the vertical framing; the image needs to be desqueezed in post-production to look normally proportioned. The 50mm and 75mm give you room to vary your framing while keeping the same anamorphic approach. Its neutral-flare version suits projects where you want the widescreen treatment without making flare the main event.

Specialist Note

This set takes away some of the guesswork when you want a consistent anamorphic look across a scene: you have a 50mm for a more open view and a 75mm to tighten up on a face or a detail. I’d use the 50mm to establish two people in a conversation, then move to the 75mm for closer coverage, keeping the same 1.6x character across the edit. Do plan for desqueezing in post; that’s part of working with anamorphic footage, not a step to skip. It’s for filmmakers comfortable with that workflow, and the two focal lengths give you a focused range rather than an all-purpose spread.
