Novoflex Adapter For Canon FD Lens To Hasselblad X-Mount
Novoflex Adapter For Canon FD Lens To Hasselblad X-Mount | Use a Canon FD lens on Hasselblad X
The defining design decision is the mount conversion: this adapter connects a Canon FD lens with a Hasselblad X-Mount camera. Its purpose is simple and specific—bringing those two systems together so you can use a lens you already own on a camera with the other mount. It suits photographers who have Canon FD glass and want to make it part of a Hasselblad X-Mount setup. That makes it most useful when the lens itself is the reason for the pairing: perhaps you want to work with a familiar optic, or build a particular kit around lenses you already have. The appeal here isn’t a new lens or an optical effect; it’s the option to use a Canon FD lens on a Hasselblad X-Mount camera. If that’s the connection you need, this adapter has a clear, practical role.
Think of it as a bridge between two named mounts, rather than a broad solution for mixed camera equipment. The intended pairing is Canon FD on the lens side and Hasselblad X-Mount on the camera side. That gives you a straightforward way to plan a setup around a specific FD lens: choose the lens for the picture you want, then use the adapter to connect it to the Hasselblad X-Mount camera. It’s a focused accessory, and its value depends on owning or choosing a lens with the Canon FD mount.
Specialist Note
A Canon FD lens sits beside a Hasselblad X-Mount camera on the counter, and this adapter has a very clear job: join those two pieces of kit. If you’ve got an FD lens you’re keen to use, this gives you a direct route to building it into an X-Mount setup. For a portrait, fit your chosen Canon FD lens through the adapter and compose on the Hasselblad; for a tabletop still life, the same pairing lets you work with the lens you’ve selected for that subject. There are 2 mount standards in this pairing, so do keep the scope in mind: it’s specifically for Canon FD to Hasselblad X-Mount, not a general adapter for other combinations.
