Ulanzi D60 Quick Release Octa Softbox 60cm - Bowens Mount

Ulanzi D60 Quick Release Octa Softbox 60cm - Bowens Mount | Shape light in an octagonal format

Ulanzi D60 Quick Release Octa Softbox 60cm - Bowens Mount is a 60cm octa softbox for photographers working with Bowens-mount lighting. Its octagonal shape gives you a different outline from a rectangular softbox, while the stated size makes it a compact option when you want a softbox without moving up to a larger format. It’s built for people who want to shape light with a familiar mount and a clearly defined size, whether they’re working on portraits or other subjects. The quick-release wording is part of the product name; it tells you the softbox is designed around a quick-release approach, though the title doesn’t describe the mechanism. One practical point: the name gives you the key buying details at a glance—60cm, octa shape and Bowens mount—so you can compare those directly with the space and lighting setup you have in mind.

Choosing this format

An octa softbox can be a sensible format to consider when the shape of the light source matters to your setup. The D60’s 60cm size gives you a specific figure to work with when planning where a modifier will sit, and its Bowens mount identifies the fitting to look for on your lighting equipment. That makes the mount an important part of the decision: the softbox is intended for a Bowens-mount setup, not a generic fitting. The quick-release feature is also part of its name, but without further detail it’s better not to assume a particular setup method or claim how quickly it opens. If you’re comparing softboxes, focus on those stated points and on whether an octagonal shape and 60cm size suit your intended arrangement. It’s a straightforward product description, and those are the details you can rely on.
