Sachtler SAC-S2080-0013 Aktiv Bowl Connector 100 mm V2
Sachtler SAC-S2080-0013 Aktiv Bowl Connector 100 mm V2 | A clearly specified tripod connection
A more certain tripod setup starts with choosing the connector your rig actually calls for. The Sachtler SAC-S2080-0013 Aktiv Bowl Connector 100 mm V2 is a tripod accessory for situations where this specific 100 mm Aktiv bowl connector is required. It’s a focused component, rather than a complete support system, and its value is in helping you identify the part needed for a particular setup. That makes it relevant to camera operators assembling a rig or organising the right accessory for a support system with this connector specified. The product name gives you a useful reference when planning a build or searching for the part: it identifies the Sachtler Aktiv line and the 100 mm size. If your setup calls for that connector, this is the precise product to look into; it isn’t a general-purpose accessory for every tripod arrangement.
Specialist Note
A common mistake with bowl connectors is to concentrate on the tripod or head and miss the connector size; here, the 100 mm marking gives you a clear measurement to match against your setup. I’d use that as the first check when assembling a rig that specifies a 100 mm bowl connector, or when identifying the part you need for a replacement. The V2 name is worth keeping in your notes too, so you can refer to the exact version rather than just asking for an Aktiv connector. It’s a specific accessory, not a universal answer for every support system, so the size needs to match what your rig calls for.
