Wooden Camera Rosette Side Plate URSA Mini URSA Mini Pro/12K
Wooden Camera Rosette Side Plate URSA Mini URSA Mini Pro/12K | A dedicated side plate for URSA camera builds
The defining design decision is the rosette side-plate format: this accessory is made around a specific kind of camera-side connection, rather than being a general tripod component. That makes it relevant when you’re planning a support setup for a Blackmagic URSA Mini, URSA Mini Pro or URSA Mini 12K and need a side plate with a rosette interface. Its role is deliberately focused. It belongs in a build where the side of the camera and the tripod-support setup need to be considered together, not in a search for a tripod head or a complete support system. For a camera department assembling a named URSA rig, that clear format can make choosing the right accessory more straightforward. If your setup doesn’t call for a rosette side plate, this isn’t the part to add just for the sake of adding another tripod accessory.
Specialist Note
In a tripod-oriented URSA build, this is a specific piece to plan for before you settle on the side of the camera: it’s a rosette side plate, not a general support accessory. The rosette format tells you which connection style your setup needs to accommodate, while the side-plate design keeps its job on the camera side of that support arrangement. I’d consider it for a URSA Mini or URSA Mini Pro/12K setup where that exact plate format is part of the rig plan. The honest limit is its narrow purpose: it won’t replace the other parts of a tripod setup, so it makes most sense when you already know you need this particular side plate.
