The BORG 7855 M42P0.75-42P1AD is a connection adapter identified by two thread markings: M42P0.75 and 42P1. It suits anyone building a setup around components that use those respective thread standards, especially when keeping the connection details clear matters more than buying a general-purpose accessory. Read the markings on both parts before assembling them, then use this adapter where the two formats meet. That’s the practical value here: a named, specific transition rather than an unspecified connection. The model code is compact, so it’s worth keeping the full designation to hand when matching parts or asking for a replacement. It’s a specialist part, and its usefulness depends on those thread markings matching your setup.

Specialist Note

New owners often focus on the 42 mm figure and overlook the thread pitch; that’s where a promising connection can turn out to be the wrong one. On this BORG, M42P0.75 and 42P1 identify the two thread formats, so compare the complete markings on your parts, not just the diameter. I’d consider it for joining components in a setup that needs precisely that transition, such as assembling an optical train from separately sourced threaded parts. Take your time as you start the threads; a matching label is the key detail, and this adapter isn’t a universal fix for other connections.

Technical Specifications

Brand: BORG

Model: 7855

Thread marking: M42P0.75-42P1AD
