The GREEN.L IR720 55mm Infra-Red is aimed at photographers exploring infra-red photography, whether you're shaping a personal project or setting aside a filter specifically for that look. Its name makes the intended use clear: this isn't a general-purpose colour filter for routine adjustments, but a focused option for infra-red work. It makes most sense when you have a visual idea in mind and want your filter choice to reflect that intention from the start. Think of it as a specialist addition for deliberate infra-red images, rather than a filter to leave on the lens for every subject. If infra-red photography is what you're planning, the purpose here is refreshingly clear.

Specialist Note

The GREEN.L IR720 makes more sense than repurposing a standard colour filter when your aim is specifically infra-red photography. I’d treat the IR720 name as the clue to its dedicated purpose, and choose it for an infra-red-focused landscape or architectural study rather than everyday colour work. Its 55mm size means it belongs with a lens that accepts 55mm filters, so match that measurement before setting up; the filter is useful only when that size suits your lens. This is a specialist option, not an all-purpose filter, and I’d recommend it to someone with a clear interest in infra-red images who wants a filter designated for that job.

Technical Specifications

Product: GREEN.L IR720 55mm Infra-Red

Filter designation: IR720

Size: 55mm

Filter type: Infra-Red

Category: Color Filter
