This 3,600 mAh rechargeable Li-ion cell is aimed at owners of equipment that calls for a battery with matching dimensions and electrical requirements. Its capacity is the headline figure, while the built-in charging connection is the practical difference from a cell that needs a dedicated charging unit. That makes it useful as a replacement battery for compatible equipment, or as a charged spare to keep with your kit. The cell’s own charging port also offers a straightforward way to recharge it when a USB-C cable is available. For a specialist shop, the important point is to match the cell to the equipment’s requirements rather than rely on the product name alone. Nitecore supplies the core battery details needed for that check, including its size, voltage and continuous discharge rating.

Battery details

Charge-status indicator: The indicator glows red while the battery is charging and turns green when charging is complete. You can see its status at a glance rather than having to guess whether the charge cycle has finished.

3.6 V output: The cell’s voltage is 3.6 V. This is a key value to compare with the requirement for the equipment you intend to power; capacity alone does not establish compatibility.

6 A continuous discharge: Nitecore specifies a continuous discharge current of 6 A. This figure gives you another electrical detail to compare when selecting a replacement cell for a device.

Compact cell dimensions: It measures 71 mm long and 18.5 mm in diameter. Those measurements give a clear physical reference when checking whether the battery size matches the space available in your equipment.

50 g weight: At 50 g, the NL1836R adds a known amount of weight to a kit or a set of spares. Its black-and-yellow finish also makes the cell easy to distinguish visually from other items in a battery case.

Good to know

The 3.6 V rating and 3,600 mAh capacity correspond to an energy rating of 12.96 Wh. A USB-C cable is sold separately, so the battery does not include the lead needed to connect its charging port. Keep that in mind when planning a charge, particularly if you’re buying the cell as a spare and don’t already have a suitable cable to hand.

What's Included

1 × Nitecore NL1836R rechargeable Li-ion battery

Technical Specifications

Brand: Nitecore

Model: NL1836R

Type: Rechargeable Li-ion battery

Capacity: 3,600 mAh

Voltage: 3.6 V

Energy: 12.96 Wh

Continuous discharge current: 6 A

Length: 71 mm

Diameter: 18.5 mm

Weight: 50 g

Colour: Black and yellow

Charging port: USB-C, integrated
