tiffen-sigsmq1-arri-signature-prime-smoque-1-rear-filter
Tiffen SIGSMQ1 ARRI Signature Prime Smoque 1 Rear Filter

Tiffen SIGSMQ1 ARRI Signature Prime Smoque 1 Rear Filter | A dedicated rear-filter option

The rear-filter design is the defining choice here: this Tiffen filter is identified for use at the rear of an ARRI Signature Prime lens, rather than as a general filter. Its name also specifies the Smoque 1 designation, making it a purpose-led option for cinematographers who want that particular filter treatment in their lens setup. It suits crews working with ARRI Signature Prime lenses who have already decided that Smoque 1 belongs in the image they’re shaping. The product name gives you a clear starting point: a specific filter designation and a rear-filter format, tied to a named lens family. That makes it a focused purchase, rather than a broad, everyday filter choice. If you’re planning a setup around this filter, keep the rear position and Smoque 1 designation in mind when preparing the lens package.

Specialist Note

Keeping the filter choice at the rear makes this a considered part of the lens setup, not an accessory you select casually at the last minute. I’d look at it for a planned scene where Smoque 1 is part of the intended image, then make that choice before the ARRI Signature Prime is ready to roll. The rear-filter designation matters because this is made for a specific place in the setup; the Smoque 1 name makes the creative choice equally specific. It suits cinematographers working with the ARRI Signature Prime family who know they want this treatment. It’s a specialised option, so I’d choose it for that purpose rather than as a general filter.

Technical Specifications

Brand: Tiffen

Designation: SIGSMQ1

Filter type: Rear filter

Filter designation: Smoque 1

Associated lens family: ARRI Signature Prime

Category: UV filter
