Its title identifies the two sides as M36.4 and M57/60AD, so its job is a narrow, practical one: joining components that use those matching interfaces. That makes it relevant to photographers and observers assembling a setup from parts with these particular fittings, rather than to someone choosing a lens for its focal length or aperture. Before building around it, compare the connection marking on each component with the two designations in the product name; the adapter is useful when those are the interfaces you need to bridge. It won’t solve a mismatch involving a different connection. With the BORG 7362, the value is in that precise connection role, not in adding an optical feature of its own.

Specialist Note

The M36.4-to-M57/60AD pairing is the defining detail here: it gives this adapter a clear job in a setup, rather than making it a general-purpose connector. I’d use it when one component is marked M36.4 and the next calls for M57/60AD, matching each side before you assemble the optical train. That’s the practical way to avoid discovering a mismatch halfway through putting things together. It suits anyone building with those exact interfaces. One point to keep in mind: the adapter bridges those named connections; it doesn’t make other fittings compatible, so the rest of the setup still needs to match.

Technical Specifications

Brand: BORG

Model: 7362

Connection designation: M36.4-M57/60AD
