The Sunwayfoto Ball Head XB-25 is a gimbal stabiliser for people who want smoother footage while moving, rather than a support intended only for a static shot. It suits vloggers and video makers who film as they walk, or need to keep recording while changing position. Its particular strength is helping make those moving shots feel smoother and more watchable. That makes it a practical option for a walking introduction, a vlog filmed on the go, or other video where you’re travelling through the scene instead of standing still. If your filming is mostly from a fixed position, its moving-shot focus may be less relevant. For on-the-move video, though, it addresses a clear problem: reducing the distracting feel of camera movement.

Specialist Note

It won’t choose your framing or make a rushed camera move look deliberate; the reason to consider it is its gimbal-stabiliser design for video made while moving. For a 10-second walking introduction to a vlog, keep your route simple and your pace measured, then use the XB-25 to help smooth the motion. It also suits filming while you move through a scene, when stopping to reset between every shot isn’t practical. I’d point it toward someone who regularly makes walking footage, rather than someone who mainly records from one fixed spot. Keep your composition in mind: stabilisation helps with movement, not with deciding what belongs in the frame.

Technical Specifications

Product name: Sunwayfoto Ball Head XB-25

Product kind: Gimbal stabiliser

Category: Tripods > Gimbal

Typical use: Smooth walking shots, vlogging and video on the move
