The Tiffen 45650LLPOL is a polarizing filter in a 4x5.650 format, made for camera setups that use filters of that size. A polarizer can help reduce reflected glare and manage reflections, which is useful when filming through a window or framing a reflective surface. Its effect depends on the angle of the light and the filter, so it’s something to judge while composing rather than a result to expect at every angle. This model’s “Low Light” designation makes it relevant to crews considering a polarizer for dimmer shooting conditions. It’s a specialist filter for operators working with a compatible 4x5.650 holder or rig, rather than a general-purpose filter for every camera setup.

Specialist Note

“Will this Tiffen polarizer suit my 4x5.650 rig?” Yes, that’s the format to match: it’s intended for a setup built around 4x5.650 filters, not a screw-in lens filter. I’d consider it for reflective windows or water; adjust the filter’s angle while watching the reflection in your frame, because the result changes with the light. The Low Light name is a helpful cue when you’re choosing a polarizer for dimmer scenes, but it doesn’t mean you can ignore exposure. It suits camera operators who need reflection control in this specific filter format.

Technical Specifications

Brand: Tiffen

Model: 45650LLPOL

Filter type: Polarizer

Format: 4x5.650

Designation: Low Light
