SanDisk Optimus GX 7100 NVMe SSD 2TB

SanDisk Optimus GX 7100 NVMe SSD 2TB | Keep your files together

Keep a sizeable collection of photographs, video files or other projects in one place with an external SSD. The SanDisk Optimus GX 7100 NVMe SSD 2TB gives you 2TB of storage in a single drive, suited to photographers who want a dedicated home for working files or a growing library. It’s a straightforward proposition: an external drive with NVMe SSD storage and a clear capacity figure. That makes it easier to judge whether it fits the amount of material you need to keep close at hand. For a camera-shop customer, the useful point is having space for files beyond the memory cards currently in use. There’s no need to read more into the name than it says; capacity is the concrete figure to plan around.

Think of it as storage for the files you choose to put on it, rather than a promise about how your particular setup will perform. You might use an external SSD to keep a project’s files together, or to separate a current body of work from the rest of your computer’s storage. The 2TB capacity gives you a defined amount to work with, though how many images or minutes of video that represents depends on the files themselves. That’s the honest way to assess it: consider the size of your own library and whether a 2TB drive suits it. The title identifies the drive as NVMe, but gives no speed figure to compare, so we won’t attach one. If capacity is your main question, the key number is right there.
