Rycote Black Overcovers: 30 X Stickies & 6 X Black Fur Discs
Rycote Black Overcovers: 30 X Stickies & 6 X Black Fur Discs | Discreet microphone covering
For a small microphone that needs a discreet cover, Rycote Black Overcovers provide black fur discs and stickies for attaching them. The pack contains 30 stickies and 6 black fur discs, making it a practical accessory for people who work with microphones and want a simple way to cover one in position. Use a disc where you want the microphone area to blend into dark clothing or surroundings; the black finish keeps the covering visually low-key. The stickies give you the means to place the discs, while the six-disc quantity lets you prepare several microphone positions or keep spares available. This is a focused little accessory rather than a microphone or a complete recording setup. It suits video makers, interviewers and sound recordists who need to manage the appearance of a microphone during recording. If you’re planning a setup around a particular microphone, check the disc’s size against the placement you have in mind before relying on it.
Specialist Note
The black fur is the detail that makes these Overcovers useful when you want a microphone covering to recede against dark clothing. I’d use a sticky to position a disc over the microphone area for an interview or a filmed presentation, keeping the covering close to where the mic needs to sit. You get 30 stickies for positioning and six fur discs, so there’s room to prepare more than one spot or keep a few discs in reserve. They suit anyone who needs a small, discreet microphone accessory rather than a new mic. One practical limit: the pack gives you the coverings, so you’ll still need a microphone and a suitable place to attach them.
