LaCie D2 4TB USB-C 8.9cm 3.5inch Desktop Drive

LaCie D2 4TB USB-C 8.9cm 3.5inch Desktop Drive | A desktop home for your files

Your photos, video and other files have room to live in one place with the LaCie D2 4TB desktop drive. It’s an external hard disk with a USB-C connection, suited to a desk-based setup where you want storage close at hand rather than something to carry around. The 4TB capacity gives you space to gather a growing image archive, keep project files together or make a separate copy of work you don’t want to lose. Its 3.5-inch drive format is the desktop-sized option in this category. That makes the D2 a sensible fit for a regular workspace, especially if your camera files are taking over your computer’s built-in storage. It’s a straightforward proposition: add an external drive to your setup and decide which files belong there. The honest point is that this is a desktop drive, so it’s best considered for a settled workspace, not as storage to take along on every shoot.

For a photographer, a separate drive can make it easier to keep current work distinct from older folders. You might use it for completed jobs, personal archives or a second copy of selected files; the way you organise it is up to you. A simple folder structure by year, client or project can help you find things again without turning your computer into the only place your pictures exist. The D2 gives you a clearly defined storage destination, rather than asking you to juggle files across several small devices. USB-C is the connection named for this model, so it belongs in a setup where that connection is part of your desk routine. Think of it as practical capacity for digital files, not a replacement for deciding how you’ll protect important work. If you’re building a tidy archive, the useful first step is choosing what you want to keep together and making a habit of storing it consistently.
