Westcott Scrim Jim Cine Video Kit (2.4 X 2.4m)

Westcott Scrim Jim Cine Video Kit (2.4 X 2.4m) | A large-format scrim for video work

Westcott Scrim Jim Cine Video Kit (2.4 X 2.4m) gives you a scrim in a 2.4 by 2.4 metre format. It’s aimed at video crews and studio users who need a large scrim as part of a lighting setup. The size is the key detail: each side measures 2.4 metres, so this is a substantial piece of kit to plan around rather than a small accessory for a compact tabletop set. For controlled work on a video set, a scrim can be part of shaping the light in the scene. This kit is best suited to setups where that larger format makes sense and there’s room to work with it. The honest trade-off is space: consider the dimensions against your shooting area before choosing it.

Planning around the format

Think about the 2.4-metre sides in relation to the subjects and working area in your usual setup. The listed size gives you a concrete starting point when planning a studio layout or deciding whether this format suits a location shoot. It’s also helpful when discussing the setup with a crew: the dimensions are specific, so you can judge the scale before the kit becomes part of the day’s plan. If your video work regularly calls for a scrim of this size, the Westcott name and Cine Video designation make the intended category clear. Keep the decision focused on the format and the space available; the dimensions are the most useful detail supplied for this kit.
