The 3 Legged Thing Axis Double Sling Ember is a camera strap designed around carrying two cameras, so it’s aimed at photographers who regularly work with a pair of bodies. That could mean keeping one camera ready for a wider view and another for tighter framing, or having a second body available during a busy session. Its name gives the key points: “Double Sling” describes the two-camera format, while Ember identifies this version. It’s most relevant when both cameras are part of your working day, rather than when you want a strap for a single-camera kit. The title doesn’t give further construction or adjustment details, so the sensible reason to choose it is the two-camera carrying arrangement itself.

Specialist Note

The twin-sling format is the defining physical detail here: it’s intended to keep two camera bodies in your working setup. I’d point it out to event and portrait photographers who move between two bodies during a session; keeping both ready can make a change of framing quicker than pausing to switch equipment. The “Double” in the name is the useful number: this is for a two-camera routine, not simply a strap for carrying one camera. Ember is the version name, and Axis identifies the model. My honest advice is that the second-camera arrangement only earns its place if you’ll actually use two bodies; for a one-camera day, that extra capacity may be unnecessary.

Technical Specifications

Brand: 3 Legged Thing

Product: Axis Double Sling Ember

Category: Camera strap

Sling format: Double
