It’s intended for photographers and other camera-work professionals who need their paperwork to travel with them, rather than be left loose among their things. The case is most at home when handling brings a risk of knocks, dust or rain: for example, when moving between work locations or putting documents away between assignments. Its purpose is practical: to give documents a protective outer case when everyday handling could leave them exposed. If you regularly take paperwork with you and want a dedicated hard case for that job, this is a focused option. It’s a document holder, not a camera bag, so its appeal is in keeping that part of your working day better protected.

Specialist Note

Photographers who work from printed location notes and carry job paperwork will appreciate having a dedicated place for it. I’d use the Type 6000 as the outer case for documents when moving between a studio and a location, rather than letting them travel loose with other gear. Its hard-case design is suited to situations where knocks are a concern; keeping it in use for storage also makes sense when dust could be a problem. Rain is among the conditions it’s intended to help with, but I wouldn’t take that as a promise of waterproofing or leave it exposed unnecessarily. Its role is deliberately specific: it’s for documents, not for carrying camera equipment.

Technical Specifications

Product kind: Hard case

Category: Bags > Hard Case

Intended use: Transport and storage where gear must withstand knocks, dust or rain
