The GREEN.L IR720 is an infrared filter for photographers who want to explore infrared images, rather than make a routine adjustment to everyday colour. Its name also makes the intended filter type easy to recognise when you’re choosing equipment for a specific approach to photography. It’s suited to considered work with landscapes, buildings or other subjects where you want to explore an infrared interpretation of the scene. Keep in mind that the filter is only one part of the result; your camera’s response to infrared light also matters. Before setting out, check that your lens uses the same 58mm filter size, then plan a little time to assess the result and adjust your exposure. This is a specialist tool for a particular photographic look, not an all-purpose colour filter.

Specialist Note

Late-day light settles on a line of buildings, and you want to explore an infrared take on the scene. That’s where the IR720 name helps: it identifies this as the infrared version, so you can choose it for that deliberate effect rather than for everyday colour work. The 58mm marking gives you a practical sizing cue; compare it with the filter size used by your lens before you head out. I’d start with a simple building or landscape composition, make a test exposure, then adjust and repeat until the image suits your aim. It’s a specialist filter, so it makes most sense when you’re intentionally working with infrared photography.

Technical Specifications

Product: GREEN.L IR720 58mm Infra-Red

Filter size: 58mm

Filter type: Infra-Red

Category: Color Filter
