It’s a CAT7 cable with male RJ45 connectors at both ends, so the connection is plug-to-plug. The S/FTP construction is the detail to note if you’re looking for a shielded network cable: it uses shielding around the cable and its twisted pairs. Its round profile suits a conventional cable route, while the snagless design helps the connector pass by edges without its latch catching as easily. The outer material is LSZH, short for low smoke zero halogen. In plain terms, this is a practical cable for a relatively short, fixed network connection; the three-metre length is its defining convenience, rather than an option for a long run. It’s grey, too, which may blend in more readily with other cables in a tidy setup.

Planning a short cable run

Three metres gives you some room to route the cable between nearby network equipment without choosing a much longer lead. It’s a sensible length to consider for a connection across a desk or between equipment placed close together, provided the route itself fits within that distance. The male RJ45 plug on each end makes the layout straightforward: one end goes to each device’s network port. If the cable needs to pass through a tight opening or around other leads, the snagless connector design can help reduce catching at the plug. Keep the run in mind before you position the equipment; a cable that’s just long enough can make for a cleaner setup than excess lead gathered behind it.

Technical Specifications

Category: CAT7

Cable construction: S/FTP

Connector ends: RJ45 male to RJ45 male

Length: 3 m

Connector design: Snagless

Cable shape: Round

Outer material: LSZH

Colour: Grey

https://www.htf-store.com/zh/products/nedis-cat7-network-cable-s-ftp-rj45-m-rj45-m-3-m-snagless-round-lszh-label
