7Artisans Infinte 135mm T2.1 FullFrame DE-Clicked EF Mount
7Artisans Infinte 135mm T2.1 FullFrame DE-Clicked EF Mount | Smooth exposure changes for video
For tightly framed interviews and carefully composed details, a 135mm lens gives you a narrow view that can keep attention on your subject. The 7Artisans Infinte 135mm T2.1 FullFrame DE-Clicked EF Mount is a short telephoto prime for Canon EF, designed for full-frame cameras and video work. Its T2.1 maximum aperture lets you work with a relatively wide opening, while manual focus puts focus changes in your hands. The estimated angle of view is 18°, so this lens is best when you have room to frame from a little farther back; it’s less suited to cramped spaces. The de-clicked aperture control is useful in filmmaking, where you may want to adjust exposure during a shot without stepped clicks. It’s a focused tool for filmmakers who prefer deliberate framing and hands-on control.
Specialist Note
A 135mm view can be hard to manage in a small room, so this lens makes most sense when you can step back and compose with space around the camera. For a full-frame interview, that longer framing helps keep attention on the person; open to T2.1 when you want to make the most of the available light. The de-clicked aperture is handy for a gradual exposure adjustment during a take, rather than a series of audible steps. It suits filmmakers who like to control focus themselves, too. Just factor in the manual focus: keeping a moving subject sharp takes active attention.
