8Sinn 10" Arri Dovetail Plate

8Sinn 10" Arri Dovetail Plate | A clear reference for your rig build

When you're planning a camera build and need to identify a plate by both length and dovetail designation, vague product names aren't much help. The 8Sinn 10" Arri Dovetail Plate gives you those two identifiers up front: it’s a 10-inch plate, and its name specifies Arri dovetail. That makes it a focused option to consider when your setup calls for that particular plate format, rather than an accessory with an unclear role. For a buyer who already knows the length and dovetail designation needed, it’s straightforward to assess. Put those requirements beside the product name and you’ll quickly see whether it belongs on your shortlist. I’d treat the stated length and designation as the key decision points, not assume anything beyond what the name tells you.

Choosing by length and designation

Think of the choice as a matching exercise. Start with the space and plate length your planned layout calls for, then compare the dovetail designation. If both details match your requirement, you’re considering the right kind of plate. If either differs, a similar-looking product name isn’t a good reason to treat the parts as interchangeable. That’s a practical way to narrow down rig components before comparing other details of a build.

The 10-inch figure gives you a clear length reference, while Arri Dovetail identifies the format named for this plate. Keep those details together when planning a layout or comparing parts; don’t rely on the 8Sinn name alone to establish whether a wider assembly suits your needs. For a specialist shop, that’s the sensible way to describe this item: it’s specific and easy to evaluate against a known requirement. If your setup calls for a 10-inch Arri dovetail plate, the product name aligns with that request. If you’re still working out the requirement, settle that first, then assess the plate by its stated length and designation.
