8Sinn 5" Arri Dovetail Plate

8Sinn 5" Arri Dovetail Plate | A plate for Arri dovetail setups

A more considered rig build starts with choosing the right kind of plate for the setup you have in mind. The 8Sinn 5" Arri Dovetail Plate is a plate identified by its Arri dovetail designation, with 5" included in its product name. That makes it relevant when you’re looking specifically for this named plate, rather than a general-purpose accessory. It suits camera crew members and operators putting together a rig who already know they need an Arri dovetail plate. The practical value here is clarity: the product name tells you the plate type and the named format to look for. If those are the terms in your build plan, this is the 8Sinn product to consider. It’s a straightforward piece of rigging equipment, and the honest point is that the title alone doesn’t tell the whole story of how it will fit into your particular setup.

Use the full product name when comparing it with the parts in your planned build: “5"” and “Arri Dovetail Plate” are the identifying details provided here. That keeps the choice anchored to the item you’re actually sourcing, rather than assumptions based on a similar-looking plate or a different product title. This description is aimed at buyers who have already settled on the Arri dovetail plate category and want to identify the 8Sinn option. It doesn’t add claims about dimensions, materials, adjustment, locking, or the equipment it can be combined with. For a specialist shop, that distinction matters: a precise product name is useful, but it shouldn’t be mistaken for details beyond the name itself.
