8Sinn Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit V2 + 5 ARRI Dovetail Plate
8Sinn Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit V2 + 5 ARRI Dovetail Plate | A named plate setup for tripod workflows
Spend less time comparing separate accessory names and more time choosing the plate setup that matches your rig. The 8Sinn Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit V2 + 5 ARRI Dovetail Plate is a tripod accessory for filmmakers and camera operators whose equipment plans already call for these named components. Its appeal is specific: the product title brings an Arca Swiss baseplate kit and a 5 ARRI Dovetail Plate together, making it easier to identify when you’re sourcing for a particular rig workflow. It’s best suited to buyers who know which plate system they need and want to search for that combination by name, rather than browse general tripod accessories. Use the component names as your starting point when planning a build or checking an existing equipment list. This isn’t a general-purpose recommendation for every tripod setup; the value is in choosing the named arrangement when it matches your requirements.

Choosing for your setup
Start with the plate terminology in your rig plan: this product is named for an Arca Swiss baseplate kit and an ARRI dovetail plate. If those are the components you’re sourcing, the title gives you a clear point of reference when comparing accessory listings or discussing your build with a specialist. If your setup calls for different plate terminology, this may not be the right match. Treat the product name as a selection cue, not as a claim that it fits every camera or tripod arrangement.
Specialist Note
The 8Sinn Arca Swiss Baseplate Kit V2 + 5 ARRI Dovetail Plate is for building around those specifically named plate components. I’d consider it when you’re planning a tripod workflow and your equipment list already calls for an Arca Swiss baseplate and an ARRI dovetail plate; having both names in one product title makes the intended direction easy to recognise. The “V2” designation is useful when you’re matching a particular version in your notes, while “5 ARRI Dovetail Plate” gives you the exact wording to compare against your rig plan. My honest advice: don’t choose it just because you need any plate accessory. Match the names to the setup you’re assembling first.
