ACT 15 M U/UTP CAT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors Zip Bag
ACT 15 M U/UTP CAT6 Patch Cable w/ RJ45 Connectors Zip Bag | Reach network ports across 15 metres
A network point is at one end of the room and the device you want to connect is at the other. This ACT patch cable gives you a 15-metre run for making that wired connection without moving the equipment. It’s a CAT6 cable with RJ45 connectors, for linking network ports that use this connector. U/UTP describes its unshielded twisted-pair construction, so it’s a straightforward option for a planned cable route where shielding isn’t needed. The length suits connections across a room or along a longer route between network equipment. It comes in a zip bag, handy for keeping the cable together when it’s not in use. Choose it when you know a wired link is the right solution and want enough cable to reach between separated points.
Specialist Note
The 15-metre length gives you room to plan a route instead of stretching a short lead between two points. I’d use it to connect network equipment across a room, or to make a longer link between RJ45 network ports; measure the path first and leave a little slack at each end. Its CAT6 rating makes it a familiar choice for a wired network connection, while the U/UTP construction means it’s unshielded. I’d keep that in mind when planning the route and avoid running it alongside sources of electrical interference. It suits anyone who needs reach more than a compact desk cable.
