Cartoni AH897 Mitchell Wedge Lock
Cartoni AH897 Mitchell Wedge Lock | A clearly named part for Mitchell wedge-lock setups
The Cartoni AH897 Mitchell Wedge Lock is a specifically named tripod accessory, rather than a general tripod item. It suits camera professionals and crews sourcing a part for a setup that calls for a Mitchell Wedge Lock. The clearest reason to consider it is identification: the product name gives you both the Cartoni reference, AH897, and the named fitting, which helps when you’re matching a part to a setup or discussing the requirement with a rental house or technician. That makes it most useful when the exact accessory name is already part of your equipment plan. It’s a focused product, not an all-purpose tripod add-on, so the name matters here. If your setup calls for this specific Cartoni accessory, the AH897 designation gives you a clear reference to work from.
Specialist Note
The Cartoni AH897 Mitchell Wedge Lock is best suited to identifying the specific tripod accessory called for in a Mitchell wedge-lock setup. I’d use the full product name, including AH897, when sourcing the part or making sure everyone on a crew is referring to the same item. The tripod-accessory classification tells you where it belongs in your equipment planning; the Mitchell Wedge Lock name makes the intended fitting specific. That’s useful when preparing a tripod package around a known requirement. My honest advice is to treat it as a dedicated accessory, not a generic fitting: the product name points to a particular setup, so it’s the right reference when that’s what your rig calls for.
