Caruba EN-EL14 Full Decoding Dummy Battery (Straight Cable)
Caruba EN-EL14 Full Decoding Dummy Battery (Straight Cable) | Keep a camera powered for a fixed setup
Keep a camera powered in a fixed setup without relying on a standard battery swap. The Caruba EN-EL14 Full Decoding Dummy Battery (Straight Cable) is a dummy battery with an EN-EL14 designation, full decoding and a straight cable. It’s intended for a setup where the camera can stay connected to an appropriate power arrangement instead of running from a regular battery. That makes the dummy-battery format useful for a camera that remains in one position during a long session or repeated takes. The straight cable is the detail to consider when planning how the lead will run from the camera. It suits a direct cable route; allow for that when positioning the camera and the rest of your setup. This is a practical, purpose-specific adapter, rather than a spare battery to carry around. Its value is in supporting a connected setup where changing batteries would interrupt the work.
Full decoding is part of the product name, so this is the version to look for when that wording matters to your setup. The title identifies the battery type as EN-EL14, but doesn’t name a camera model or a power source. Keep your choice grounded in those details: the camera needs to take an EN-EL14-format dummy battery, and the rest of the power arrangement needs to suit the connection you plan to use. The cable exits straight, so think through the route before placing the camera in a tight rig or close to other equipment. A straight run can be straightforward to manage when the power source is positioned in line with the camera. If your setup needs a different cable exit direction, this design may be less convenient. It’s a focused accessory for keeping an EN-EL14 dummy-battery setup connected, not a general-purpose adapter.
