Caruba LB-NI1 Rear And Body Cap For Nikon
Caruba LB-NI1 Rear And Body Cap For Nikon | Cover both openings when separated
Keep the rear of a detached lens and the camera body’s lens opening covered when you put your Nikon kit away. The Caruba LB-NI1 is a rear and body cap for the moments when a lens is off the camera: changing lenses, packing a lens separately or storing the body without a lens attached. Fit the relevant cap before putting each piece away, so those openings aren’t left exposed in a bag or cupboard. It’s a straightforward accessory for Nikon owners who swap lenses or keep spare lenses stored apart from the camera. That can make packing and storage tidier, while giving both the lens and body an appropriate cover between uses. Its job is specifically at the rear of the lens and the camera body; it isn’t a cover for the front glass of a lens.
Specialist Note
The Caruba LB-NI1 is best at covering the lens rear and camera body opening when they’re separated. Its name identifies both a rear cap and a body cap, so you have a cover for each side of a lens change. When you take a lens off, fit the rear cap to the lens and the body cap to the camera before storing them apart. The Nikon designation makes this the relevant option for a Nikon setup. I’d recommend it to someone who changes lenses regularly or packs a spare lens separately. Just bear in mind that its role is rear and body coverage, not protection for the lens’s front element.
