Desq Reversible Lens Hood 62mm Tulip Model w/ Bajonet
Desq Reversible Lens Hood 62mm Tulip Model w/ Bajonet | Shade the lens from stray light
The tulip-shaped front is the defining design choice: its cutaway profile shades the lens from off-axis light without surrounding the image with a full circular rim. This Desq hood is made for a 62mm fitting and attaches with a bayonet connection. It suits photographers whose lens has that matching connection and who want a hood they can turn around for storage. Use it outdoors in bright conditions to help reduce unwanted light reaching the lens, or around strong light sources that sit just outside the frame. The reversible design is practical when you’re packing up, since the hood can be turned back over the lens rather than carried separately. Its black finish keeps the look low-key. This is a specific-fit accessory, so the 62mm size and bayonet connection both matter; it isn’t a universal hood.
Specialist Note
Attaching it is a quick bayonet-style move, and turning it around for storage keeps the hood with the lens instead of taking up a separate pocket. The tulip shape is useful when bright light is coming from just outside your composition: it shades the lens while its cutaways leave room around the image area. For outdoor portraits or street scenes in hard daylight, fit it before framing and keep the sun just beyond the edge of the shot to help limit stray light. The 62mm fitting makes this a focused option for lenses with the matching bayonet connection, rather than something to share across different fittings.
