easyCover Lens Oak For 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM C FR Camo
easyCover Lens Oak For 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM C FR Camo - waterproof camouflage cover
Scratches, knocks and a conspicuous lens barrel are familiar annoyances when you take a long zoom into the field. The easyCover Lens Oak for the 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM C adds a waterproof camouflage cover to this specific Sigma lens, protecting its exterior from scratches, dents and dirt. Its camo finish is particularly relevant for wildlife photography: it makes the lens less conspicuous against natural surroundings, so there’s less bright equipment catching an animal’s attention. For nature photographers working from a hide or moving quietly through the outdoors, that discreet finish is a practical part of the setup. The cover also provides a protective layer when the lens is being carried between locations, where bumps and scrapes can happen. This is a fitted accessory for the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C, rather than a general-purpose wrap for different lenses. It’s a straightforward way to add protection and a more subdued look to a popular telephoto zoom, while keeping the lens itself at the centre of your wildlife kit.
Highlights
- Neoprene and nylon construction: These materials form the cover around the lens, adding a barrier against everyday scuffs and dirt during outdoor use.
- Waterproof cover: The Lens Oak itself is described as waterproof, a useful feature when working in damp natural surroundings.
- Protection from scratches and dents: The cover shields the lens exterior from common marks and knocks as you carry and use it.
- Camouflage finish: Its subdued pattern helps the lens blend into the surroundings, reducing the visual contrast of equipment during wildlife photography.
- Made for the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C: The fit is intended for this particular lens model, rather than for Sigma 150-600mm lenses in general.
- Easy to fit and remove: The cover can be taken on or off without leaving residue on the lens, so you can use the protection when it suits your outing.
- Lens controls stay accessible: You can still reach the lens’s operating controls with the cover fitted, keeping adjustments available while you work.
Specialist Note
“Will the Lens Oak get in the way of adjusting my Sigma zoom?” No—the lens controls remain accessible, so you can make adjustments without taking the cover off. I’d point wildlife photographers towards this version when the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM | C is their regular field lens: the camouflage finish makes the lens less conspicuous outdoors, and the fitted design is specific to that model. Use it when photographing animals in natural surroundings, where keeping the visible equipment subdued matters, and keep the controls within reach as you work. The cover is also removable without leaving residue, which is handy if you want the lens bare again after a field session. Just bear in mind that it’s made for the C version of the Sigma zoom, not a universal lens cover.
