Epson Lens - ELPLM15 - Mid Throw L1500/L1700 Series
Epson Lens - ELPLM15 - Mid Throw L1500/L1700 Series | Plan for mid-throw installations
When a projector needs to sit at a particular point in a room, the lens has to suit that layout. The Epson ELPLM15 is a mid-throw lens for the L1500/L1700 series, giving AV installers a lens option for installations where a mid-throw position fits the space. It’s suited to planned setups in lecture rooms, meeting spaces and event venues, where the projector’s position needs to work with the screen and the room arrangement. Start by considering the available mounting position and the intended screen placement; the ELPLM15 is specifically for a mid-throw layout, rather than a lens intended to cover every projection distance. For an installation using an L1500/L1700-series projector, this makes the lens choice more specific to the job. It’s a practical direction to consider when the room calls for mid-throw projection and the projector is part of the supported series.
Specialist Note
The main limitation is right there in the name: this is a mid-throw lens, so it won’t suit a plan that depends on placing the projector very close to, or very far from, the screen. Its connection to the L1500/L1700 series matters just as much; it’s intended for that projector range, not as a general lens option. I’d recommend it to an installer planning a fixed setup in a lecture room or event space. Map the screen and available projector position first, then choose this lens when that layout calls for mid-throw projection. When those points line up, it’s a focused choice for the installation.
